Restaurant Owners:

DeliveryTasker's delivery drivers are hourly-paid, hourly-hired delivery contractors who deliver only for one restaurant each shift. Each shift usually lasts for 2 ~ 4 hours. This gives restaurants better control over delivery times and delivery standards. Most restaurants prefer to lend the delivery drivers restaurant branded pizza or thermal bags to ensure consistent delivery standards. Drivers would then return the bags to the restaurant at the end of the shift. Drivers' ratings and earnings are dependent on their performance and ratings provided by each restaurant. The drivers are usually paid a combination of an hourly rate + small delivery fee to help cover their petrol and incentivise them to deliver more per hour. Drivers pay a penalty fee or get removed from the platform if they display unprofessional behaviour or receive poor ratings. The drivers also offer extra services to the restaurants such as folding takeaway boxes, drying cutleries and other simple store duties.

In 2023, over 95% of the delivery contractors who signed up for a shift attended the shift and received an average rating of 4.5 / 5.0 stars (rated by restaurant merchant partners).

On the DeliveryTasker platform, delivery drivers who are rated well are more likely to be assigned to shifts by restaurants. Furthermore, delivery drivers are incentivised to deliver efficiently as their quotes usually include a small delivery fee (i.e. the more they deliver, the more they earn). DeliveryTasker penalises unprofessional behaviour by suspending accounts and imposing a penalty fee of $19.80 when delivery drivers who sign up for a shift do not turn up or quit at short notice. We also have a driver membership system that rewards drivers with certain privileges to encourage positive behaviour.

Restaurant merchant partners also have the ability to block or blacklist delivery drivers that are unprofessional or perform poorly. Similarly, restaurant merchant partners could also add their preferred delivery drivers to their "Favourites" list. Drivers who are added to the Favourites list will get priority access to shifts posted by the restaurant.

Yes. When you post a shift for minimum 2 hours or more on the DeliveryTasker mobile app, the delivery contractor who signs up for the shift will only be delivering for your restaurant for the whole duration of the shift. They will return to your restaurant after each delivery drop off. We track their delivery distance, time and locations. They are not allowed to deliver for other restaurants or platforms during your shift.

Yes you can, but you should follow best practices (e.g. retrieve the collect cash immediately after the driver comes back from the delivery). DeliveryTasker is not responsible for any cash collection arrangement that you instruct the delivery driver to perform.

No, there are no commission charges. Standard credit card fees apply for each payment in the app.

DeliveryTasker's network of hourly hired food and pizza delivery contractors runs on a real time quote-based system. Once you've posted a shift (e.g. a 3-hr job from 5pm ~ 8pm) on the DeliveryTasker mobile app, you will receive real time quotes from multiple delivery contractors who are available. You can choose which quote to accept based on ratings, extra services provided by each driver and their experience. Rates quoted by the drivers are usually a combination of an hourly rate + a small delivery fee. Quotes vary based on factors like location, weather, days and times of your shift. The average hourly rates range between $24 ~ $30 per hour (usually plus a small delivery fee $0.50 ~ $2.00). Merchants can post a shift as late as 1 hour before they need a driver.

Most drivers on cars can deliver between 3 to 4 orders per hour (1km ~ 3km with good traffic conditions). Nevertheless, there are 3 ways to address poor or slow performance. Firstly, accept only quotes that have a delivery fee component (not just a flat hourly rate). A delivery fee component helps to incentivise the delivery contractor to deliver more and faster. Secondly, if the delivery driver is slow beyond reason (e.g. takes 30 min to deliver a 10 min delivery), you can cancel the shift within the first hour of the shift by contacting DeliveryTasker support. Note that you will still be required to pay for the first hour of the shift. Lastly, you can always use your app to "black list" a delivery contractor if you do not wish to use that same delivery contractor for future shifts. There are many delivery contractors on our network and majority are rated 5 stars. Delivery contractors who are rated poorly or display unprofessional behaviour may have their account suspended.

Majority of the delivery contractors who signed up for shifts turn up for the shifts. In 2023, shift attendance rate was over 98%. In the unlikely event that a delivery contractor who signs up to your shift can't make the shift, your shift will be reposted and we'll find a replacement delivery contractor as soon as we can. If you have credits already topped up, you could also request for a 100% refund.

Certain delivery contractors may offer extra services such as folding takeaway boxes or drying and polishing dishes. You can include these non-delivery services in your shift description when posting a shift. You will also be able to see all these information in the quotes that you receive for your shift.

Some do. Most pizza shop owners prefer to lend the delivery drivers the restaurant's own branded thermal food or pizza delivery bags to ensure consistent delivery standards and branding. If you've lent them your bags, you can instruct the delivery contractor to return them to you at the end of the shift.
